Dear Sir/Mam, I was a patient at the University Hospital of Dallas on December 4, 2018 and while in the emergency department for chest pains I noted a problem with my specimens. I’m not certain how or when the specimens were drawn, however, my husband noticed a handful of unlabeled tubes in a pink bin in my room. When my husband alerted the head nurse, she explained the lab would pick up the specimens shortly. The next day upon discharge the unlabeled tubes were still in the bin. My doctor said my labs were fine and I didn’t experience a cardiac arrest, but I am confused to how the labs were tested if they were physically located in the bin 24 hours later. Can you assure me the lab report received is accurate and is indeed was my specimens?
Sincerely,
Mrs. Susan Truson
